Rockford Rotary Club is in Rotary District 6290, one of 500+ around the world. Rotary District 6290 covers the area from Holland east to Stanton and north to Wawa, Ontario, Canada. Because the district stretches into Canada, we are considered an international district. District 6290 is one of 17 districts in Rotary Zone 29.
All Rotary leadership in all the Rotary clubs around the world changes on July 1st of each year. The last meeting in June is almost always the leadership "change over" meeting, and it is usually a night meeting
Rockford Rotary club has donated over $180,400 to the Rotary Foundation. Part of this giving comes from the $100 collected from each Rotarian annually in 12 monthly payments. Another portion of the money comes from our various fund-raising campaigns. The majority of the giving comes from individual Rotarians making donations to the Rotary Foundation.
Each time a Rotarian donates $1000 to the Rotary Foundation, he/she receives a Paul Harris Fellow recognition award. Rotarians can acheive a Paul Harris +1 award by donating $2000. The award system continues as each $1000 donated achieves another Paul Harris level. Donations can be made to the Rotary Foundation at any time through the club treasurer. Please contact the Club Foundation chair with questions.
