Car Raffle Fund-raiser

We have an exciting new fund raiser this year.  We are raffling off a brand new Chevy Malibu or Ford F150 or $15000 cash.  There will only be 2500 tickets available. Tickets will be $30 each or 4 for $100.  There will also be a $200 cash prize drawing on the first Tuesday of each month beginning January 2013.  Every ticket stays in for all drawings!

Linda Pokorzynski was the happy winner of this month's $200 Cash Prize from her ticket in the Rockford Rotary Charitable Raffle 2013. The check was presented by Rotarians Connie Taylor, CEO of Rockford Community Federal Credit Union and Steve Steelandt, CLU, ChFC of Regal Investment Advisors.

 
How Linda came to own winning ticket #6 is a bit of a twist of fate. Rotary had the tickets printed by Custom Printing and Linda was the contact person for the order. When Steelandt picked up the tickets, he asked Linda to buy one. She said that she would, indeed, buy the first ticket. He explained that Pam Brickey, of Rockford, had already been promised ticket #1 and that Steelandt was purchasing the next four for his wife. Therefore, ticket #6 would be the first available ticket! So, Linda bought ticket #6. And it was drawn on March 5th, then tossed back in for all future drawings.

 

Sandra Stanton, of ChiroHealth Rockford, was the surprised 2nd $200 Cash Prize Winner in the Rockford Rotary Charitable Raffle. Rotary President Brian McNamara and raffle chairman Steve Steelandt, who sold this ticket, presented the check.

 

Bill Van Horn of Sparta (but really midway between Rockford & Cedar Springs) is the winner of the first $200 drawing! Presenting the check are Rotary President Brian McNamara of McNamara Tax Service and Chairman Steve Steelandt of Regal Investment Advisors. Behind the counter is Floyd Havemeier, owner of Herman's Boy, where the winning ticket was purchased.

Michigan laws don't allow us to let you purchase your charitable raffle tickets online. Please contact any of our Rockford Rotary members to buy your tickets before they are sold out!
